What Is Eco Smart Hospitality?

💡 Eco Smart Hospitality is an Erasmus+ project developing a skills-based training ecosystem for a circular, net-zero hospitality sector across Europe, addressing emissions, waste, energy, and resource efficiency through green and digital competences.

🔍 Why this matters:
• The hospitality industry accounts for around 8% of global greenhouse gas emissions, making sustainability essential for future competitiveness (MDPI)
• European SMEs in hospitality report skills gaps in environmental management, circular practices, and resource-efficiency—making workforce development urgent (UNESCO UNEVOC)
• A circular economy model—from food waste reduction to energy-saving design—can yield cost savings, stronger guest appeal, and regulatory compliance (Hotel Management Network)

Through the Eco Smart Hospitality project, we implement a circular-hospitality curriculum, digital tools, and real‑world pilot training with learners, VET centres, and employers—working together with partners to build practical green and digital skills across Europe.
